Emergency Updates and Warnings
Emergency updates and warnings are posted on the Monona County Sheriff Facebook page.
EMA Duties:
Primary duties include, but aren't limited to:
- Responsible for county-wide multi-hazards and their contingency plans.
- Coordinates emergency planning activities & services in the event of disaster.
- Assists governing officials of municipalities & county in the event of a disaster.
- Promotes public knowledge of emergency management and disseminates information to the public.
A major function of the EMA is to support the responder agencies in safeguarding Monona County during periods of disaster. The assistance given by EMA falls into four main categories: Mitigation, Preparation, Response & Recovery.
