2025 City/School Election

Absentee/By Mail Voting

If you are unable to make it to the polls on Election Day, you may request an absentee ballot be mailed to you by completing an Absentee Ballot Request form and returning it to the Auditor's Office. Completed request forms for mailed ballots will be accepted August 26, 2025 through October 20, 2025. Please call the Auditor's Office at 712-433-2191 to receive a request form or visit www.sos.state.ia.us.

Actual ballots will be mailed to you beginning October 15th and must be received back in the Auditor's Office by the close of polls (8 PM) on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in order to be counted.

Early/In Person Voting

You are also welcome to vote early in person at the Auditor's Office in the Monona County Courthouse beginning Wednesday, October 15th through Monday, November 3, 2025. The Auditor's Office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. Please bring a valid form of ID to vote early in person.
